Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if things in my life went a different direction.
- I was accepted to Whitworth University and Westmont College, what would have happened if I went to one of those schools?
- What would have happened if I kept with my original major-junior high ministries, would I still be out of a job, would I be happy?
- What would have happened if I had done a theatre major, would I have moved far away? Had to get roommates to keep rent down because I would be a struggling actress?
One thing I know for sure is that if one of these had happened I’m 99% sure that I wouldn’t
have met my husband. Myke and I talk about that often, if he had played football or kept with his music major (his original major) we are almost positive we wouldn’t have met.
Sometimes I wonder about these things, but then I take a step back and look at my life now, and I can’t help but feel thankful for my life now. The husband I have, the wonderful friends I have, the roof over my head-even though it’s a small roof :), a well paying job, and food on the table. It’s the little things in life you should be thankful for and focus on. I am very thankful for the life I have now and honestly, I can’t imagine it any other way, no matter how hard I try.
