Our Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day was a very special one for Myke and I. We were worried that we weren’t going to be able to do anything because of money. However, my in-laws came through like they usually do and sent us a Valentine’s present, a gift card for Cheesecake Factory.

We were a littleĀ hesitant to go out on Valentine’s Day, but that was the only night Myke and I had available. We had never ventured out on the actual day so it was going to be an interesting outing nonetheless.

Roses, my handmade card and his card with the sweetest words

We decided to go straight after I got off work, especially since they do not take reservations. We drove there and of course there was a HUGE line. I was a little nervous, but Myke dropped me off and went to park the car while I put our name in. Surprisingly it was only a 20-25 minute wait. Which is good any night, at any restaurant, especially at Cheesecake Factory.

We were seated outside about 20 minutes later. The only bad part about that was the pictures were not going to be very good. However the weather was perfect and we were happy to just be together.

We each got a burger and then split a chocolate cheesecake. We were going to head to the movies next, but we were both extremely tired and went home and changed into our Valentine PJ pants and watched Walking Dead instead. I know, so romantic.

My good old factory burger. I can’t help getting it every time
Myke and his mac and cheese burger. Which was actually pretty good.

I wouldn’t change a thing. We always say that we will have a better one next year, and last year we weren’t together on Valentine’s Day. So I consider this one a win.
