Movie Review Monday

This week’s movie was Skyfall and I have to say I was very impressed.
I have a bit of a soft spot for the James Bond films. My dad started showing me them when I was about  9 or so because I had watched Indiana Jones and saw Sean Connery and he thought I deserved to know where it all started.
James Bond Dr. No
Which of course, I loved. I think that’s where my love for action movies started, but that is a story for another day.
Skyfall was awesome. I truly enjoyed it. Some are saying it is the best Bond, I don’t know if I would say that, but I would say it is in the top three. Daniel Craig is the perfect Bond (sorry Connery). He has that mysterious look about him already in his personal life, that it almost makes sense that he would be James Bond.
When I write these simple reviews, I try not to ruin too much of the movie, so I mostly go with a basic plot that is obviously the plot of the movie. However with James Bond, it can be a little difficult to not ruin a lot of the movie because there are a lot of twists and turns. So I will do my best.
The movie starts out with James Bond and another agent, chasing after a man that has a hard drive that has names of undercover agents. The movie starts out with James Bond being shot and then going off the grid for while. Bond then comes back when MI6 (the secret agent headquarters) is bombed.
The fight scenes are amazing and of course the same witty jokes are in the dialogue as well. Plus hearing Adele sing the theme song just gives you chills and gets you in the mood to watch a James Bond movie.
I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone, of course there is some violence and a little sexual content so be mindful with the kiddos (there was a 4 year old that kept asking questions while we were in the theatre). If you are thinking of a fun movie night, Skyfall is a great choice! It’s a good movie to see in the theatre, but it will be great on blu-ray too. If you can, go see it!
