Mother’s Day Wish List
This will be my second official Mother’s Day and I like it! Last year I spent most of it sick on the couch because of a certain someone in my belly, but Myke still made it special. He always does such a good job at spoiling me, no matter what so I’m looking forward to seeing what we do this year. I don’t expect a lot, but whatever it is, it will be wonderful. I decided to pull together three items that I’ve had my eye on for a while and I think they would make great gifts.
Sara Lou blanket. I’ve been following Sara since I found a picture of her big chunky knit blankets. She now has gorgeous faux fur blankets that I can’t wait to get my hands on one day because I can’t resist a good blanket. She also just had the cutest little baby girl!
Magnolia magazine subscription. I love anything having to do Joanna Gaines, Fixer Upper, or Magnolia. I’ve been a subscriber ever since they first released it and I love getting it quarterly. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. This is also a great last minute gift for all the procrastinators.
Robe and Slippers. Maybe it’s because I’m a mom now, but I’ve been looking for a great pair of slippers and a nice fluffy robe. I’ve seen these on Amazon for a little while and they both look cozy to me!
A Good Book. Since “me time” is few and far between nowadays, reading has become a favorite nightly pastime. When I was in college I was reading so many books, but I didn’t read for pleasure. After I graduated, I made it a point to read at least a chapter of a book before bed. Finally, I’m starting to get back into doing that. Here are a few books on my list: Diana: Her Story-In Her Own Words, Becoming by Michelle Obama, Upstairs at the White House: My Life with the First Ladies by J.B. West and Mary Lynn Kotz.
“Mama” mug. Rachel Allene, one of my Instagram favs. I’ve been following her for some time now and she’s one of those people I secretly wish we friends in real life. She has such a sweet sprit, beautiful pictures, and the cutest products. Currently she has her Mama mug for preorder and you can’t pass it up!
