I was looking forward to my July 2014 Birchbox*. Since Myke and I are getting back into fitness and this month they partnered with Women’s Health. The box was a beautiful baby blue with polka dots and the box was so beautiful with fitness designs all over. I’ve been trying to reuse boxes, so I’m loving these decorative boxes, hoping they continue with them. This month they did something a little different, they asked us to choose one of our samples. I chose the Ruffian Nail Lacquer and the color Rosary. I’ve been loving rose gold lately, so I was very excited to choose this sample.
RUFFIAN Nail Lacquer – Rosary. This is a beautiful rose gold color and the quality of this polish is one of the best I have ever tried. If you have never tried it, I would highly recommend this polish. They have plenty of colors to choose from.
Naobay Body Radiance Lotion. I tried this the night I got my box. The only complaint I have is it is very thick! It felt like I was putting paste on my body. With that being said, it did its job, my legs were very smooth in the morning. Satisfied, just not the way I like my lotion.
Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Overnight Detox Oil. I’m a little nervous for this, mostly because I’ve had a little bad luck streak with Caudalie. It’s not my favorite line ever, but I will try anything once. Plus if I don’t like it, maybe my mom will. That’s another thing I love about Birchbox, if I don’t like my products, I find someone who may like it more than me.
Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Hair Mask. I’ve been ignoring my hair lately, so I think these came at a good time. I’m a big fan of the Beauty Protector line so I’m hoping that this will be just as good as my other products I’ve tried. I’m hoping to try their dry shampoo soon.
Benefit Posiebalm. Benefit is my jam. If you want me to be a happy camper, get me anything and everything from Benefit. I had seen this in their stores and I have so many lip products as it is, I didn’t want to buy it. I’m really happy I got it as a sample and now I know that it is a good lip balm to invest in. The color is a sheer pink, so it doesn’t look like you have something on your lips, but you do and your lips are getting moisturized at the same time! Win win.
*For those of you who don’t know what Birchbox is, it is a monthly subscription, $10/month, which make up samples are delivered to your door. There is a profile online that you fill out to get certain samples. There is also a points system, whenever you purchase something from their store, like a full size product of a sample you received, you get points ($1 = 1 point). Every 100 points is $10 credit for the store, it’s a pretty sweet system. I’ve been a member for the past 2 years and I’ve had good and not so great boxes, I would highly recommend this subscription if you are wanting to try different make up items and even if you just love make up.
