Blog,  Let's Stay at Home

Day Off

Today is my first “Day Off” since I started my job. Tomorrow I officially start at my job, no shadowing…it is a little nerving, but I’m staying confident and also humble and knowing that I’m still learning.

Anyways, today is all about organizing things for my blog. I have a log of ideas floating around in my head and I want to get them down on paper. My new friend, Cari, over at The Skinny Olive wrote down a list of goals that she had for her blog and she inspired me to write down a few of my own.

A few of my goals are…
-attend a blog conference

-take more pictures for the blog (I don’t have good lighting where I am and I’m trying to take pictures outside, but I’m so timid…it’s time to step out and be bold!)

-guest post/have guests post

-have 20 followers that I don’t see on a regular basis (start out small of course 🙂 )

-start a blogging trend, like Lauren at From My Grey Desk with High Five for Friday.

Those are only a few small goals, but I can see myself doing all of that!

Wish me luck!

Good luck! Growing your blog is a challenge, but it can be so rewarding. I’ve found a couple things that really rocketed my readership: 1)Comment (a TON) on other blogs. 2)do link-ups. I’ve “met” the greatest people through link-ups I’ve found randomly throughout the internet. 3) if you do a DIY project that was inspired from something you found online, link to them and then let them know about your post!
    Have fun 🙂

Your goals ring true for myself as well! I am a new blogger and am struggling to remember to take pictures of the daily things to share on my blog, plus my cellphone does not take the best pictures so that hinders me as well.
I would like to start a blogging trend or link-up like Lauren’s also OR at the least find a few I like as much as hers to link-up with…know of any good ones?

I love these goals! Blogging is definitely something that is hard and can take time and a lot of work and patience. It’s worth it though! I get so much joy out of it and it’s all about setting goals, achieving them, setting more goals, achieving them, etc, etc! Just found your blog and have loved getting to know you better. I’m excited to follow along!

    new follower 🙂
