Weekend Update with Me
The first wonderful thing was my really good friend from college came to visit. She is my oldest friend from college, she is one of my closest friends, and she was the one who introduced Myke and I. She is pretty cool. She came to visit us and some of her other good friends. So it was fun to spend time with her this weekend, even if it was for a short time.
Friday night was Myke’s and my date night. We went and saw Red Tails. It wasn’t bad, but as Myke said, I wished I liked it more than I did. We went into the movie doing what we don’t like to do-expecting more. I always try not to do that, but sometimes you do. The story was a beautiful story about black WWII pilots and their experiences. I love those types of movies, WWII and historical movies, I was happy with our choice.
Saturday was party day! Our good friend was turning 23, so we all went out to dinner at Buca di Beppo-my first time and then we went to Downtown Disney, which is always fun. It was a lot of fun because it was all our friends in one spot, which hasn’t happened since college. It was a good day and night for all of us.
Sunday was obviously SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!! Honestly, and I hope I don’t get criticized-I didn’t care who won. I like watching good football, which I felt this was going to be a good game. I was excited for both teams, but when it got down to playing, I started cheering a little more for the Giants, especially when I found out they were an underdog (you gotta cheer for the underdog). We were watching it at our church and that was fun talking with people and watching the game. The commercials were awesome, a few I couldn’t believe they had, but that is always the case, but then there were some that were really funny!
One thing that did happend to me personally was I found a camera that I would like to purchase. I only need $600. It is a Cannon EOS t3. I don’t mind paying $600 because I want a solid camera, I just have to save up 🙂
This weekend was a lot of fun, filled with things that may not mean much to all of you, but it meant a lot to me and I’m sure to some other people that I was with. Weekends are always good for me because of the people I spend it with. I take my weekends very seriously and I’m glad that they are always so wonderful. It’s not really about where we go or what we do, it is the people I spend it with that make every weekend worth while.
Also if you noticed there is a new layout 🙂 Also, on the top of the page, there is my Pinterest page, if you like take a look at what I like.
