Too Much Sun and Songs on Repeat
If someone were to remind me that it rained in February I would laugh. It has been oddly warm here in LA the past week or so. We had a cool spree a couple weeks ago and everyone was happy happy happy. Now all we get are sun with a little bit of clouds, but mostly sun sun sun. I know I really shouldn’t be complaining. I have been trying to schedule people to do phone interviews on the east coast and they have been working around snowstorms. So please forgive me east coast.
While the sun has been shining, I have been stuck indoors at work. Every once and a while I am able to get out and walk about the lot and get some fresh air, but majority of that happens when I’m walking to the office or to my car at the end of the day. While I listened to Serial non stop and finished American Sniper, I have had one album on repeat for the better part of the month. Lincoln Brewster’s Oxygen. Mr. Brewster is a worship leader at a church up in northern California and Myke absolutely loves him. Myke calls him a guitar player’s worship leader, he leads with these amazing riffs and he writes some of the most powerful songs that I know. Oxygen is his latest album and it’s his first pop sounding album and we love it. I mentioned one of his songs in another post, “Live to Praise You.” This is the first song on the album and it always makes me sing and dance in my car seat. The other song that Myke loves is “Made New”. It’s amazing how uplifted you feel when you have uplifting music on. Who would have thought?
So if you have Spotify, check out Lincoln Brewster’s albums. You will be dancing in your car.
