Sometimes Life Happens

Have you ever just kept going and all of a sudden it was Saturday? That’s exactly what happened to me this past week. It has been a pretty long one for me and Myke. He had jury duty all week and on top of that he was not feeling well. I started covering a new desk this past week and I’m really enjoying it. I’m not saying these are excuses and in now way am I apologizing for not writing. My pastor says a phrase every now and again, “Sometimes life just happens.” This phrase has stuck with me for the past couple weeks and it is a very helpful reminder that while it feels like I’ve been ignoring my blog, life just happened. While life was happening, I was able to spend a little more time with Myke, relax at night after work, and refresh myself for the blog. You can’t write too much about your life while nothing is really happening. This week, Myke and I were able to get some things done that we have been wanting to get done, both in general and for the blog and that makes me really happy.

The next time you break a routine, don’t be upset. Sometimes life happens. Take a deep breath and start again. That’s what I’m doing.
