I’ve Always Been Interested in…

I have always been interested in a lot of different things, but most of the time I have never had the courage to say I liked them or had the courage to actually pursue them. Here are a few favorites…

Photography

I have mentioned this before, I have been surrounded by photography for most of my life. My wonderful grandmother is an amateur photographer, but her pictures are BEAUTIFUL. I wish I had a picture of one, hopefully I can get one soon-there is one of the picture of the clock from behind in the Musee D’Orsay in Paris. I’ve been there so that’s what makes it even more special. I would like to take pictures, but I need a good camera. So I believe that is where my money will be going for the next few months 🙂

Cooking/Baking

I LOVE baking. My kitchen is too small for me to do a lot of it, but I love cooking. I like trying new recipes, I have a co-worker who is an amazing baker and she gave me a lot of recipes to try, so once we have  a little more space I’ll be more adventurous. We have baked a cake from scratch in our tiny kitchen-that was a hoot and a half, but the cake was still good.

Graphic Design

I’ve always been interested the way that graphic design. I don’t necessarily want to do it as a carrer, but it’s just something that fascinates me. I have a few friends that do graphic design and their creations are always fun to look at. I have done a few designs here and there, but when I say that, keep in mind it has been for things like church/youth events. It’s still fun though.

Music

I love music. I have been singing in choirs since I was around 5 or so and I love doing it. I used to play piano and I’m hoping to get back into it. I would hope to someday in our huge house that we will have eventually…maybe…have a grand piano. I think a grand piano is one of the most beautiful things in the world. They are beautiful to look at and beautiful to listen to. I love music and I’m happy that I married a musician and I’ll be surrounded by and involved in music for the rest of my life.

Home Decor

I love decorating. I have alway been nervous about actually doing it because I’m afraid of what people would think. Now that I’m married, Myke has told me that I have his permission to do what I want-but there is only so much I can do in a studio apartment, but I think that we have done a pretty good job with what we have. I’m mostly looking froward to the next apartment!! 🙂
