here we go again

Ok here is the deal. I’m lame and haven’t written because let’s just face it, I have had a busy end of 2011.

I feel bad that I had said I wanted to start blogging, but to be honest with you, I thought I didn’t have “it,” you know, the talent of writing well and actually not being ashamed of what I have written. But then something happened.

A new year.

My really good friend and I were talking and we decided that we wanted to be better at things, so like I usually do, I sat down and made a list of things I wanted to be good at. This list consisted of things such as sewing and photography, but one was actually blogging and writing…and actually following through on it. But then I heard that voice again, I’m not creative enough to write and who would want to read my blogs. Then something else happened.

My father-in-law’s birthday.

Ok, it wasn’t his real birthday, but who says you can’t celebrate early? My husband and I (oh yeah-got married in November. November 19th to be exact, but that’s not what I’m talking about now) went down to visit his family and celebrate his father’s birthday. This morning we all went to breakfast, now one thing that you should know about my father-in-law, he is amazing. I’m not just saying that because he is my father-in-law, I’m saying that because he is a real and genuinely kind man and I’m proud to call him my father-in-law. He recently posted a note on his Facebook page that talked about how he has foggy days and how he is blessed by the word of God. It is beautifully written and it would only be better if he was actually reading it to you. At breakfast this morning he mentioned that he wanted to keep writing because he loved the feeling of sitting down and writing what was on your heart. Well that is what I would like to do.

Write from the heart.

So here we go again. New year, new life, new(ish) blog.
