Daycation
After the wedding, we stayed a night in Fallbrook and we drove down to Vista and spent the day there. Myke’s family lived in Carlsbad for a year while his dad was a pastor at a church there. After church, we would drive to Vista and see a movie. We have a lot of good memories here so it was fun to go back and spend a day there.

We had lunch at Sonic, the closest one to our apartment is in Monrovia (an hour drive), so we were excited to have it! After that we walked around for a little bit and just talked. Myke and I love just walking and talking. We talked mostly about what our life would be like if we lived there with a family, what our lives would be like if we moved back to Nor Cal, possible business plans for us as a couple, my blog/possible card shop ideas, and many more things. One of my favorite things to do with him is just talk about our future. I’m weird that way.
Next, per Vista tradition, we saw a movie. Red 2. I’m not going to lie, I liked it. I knew what I was getting into and I loved the first one, so I was excited to see it. The theaters are really nice in Vista too, so it was fun to see a movie in there again. Plus movies are always fun with Myke.
On our drive back we saw Dave Hester from Storage Wars. We are big fans of the show, but not really of him, but it’s still fun to see someone you see on TV. Even though I don’t like people who just act like the paparazzi, I took pictures of him from a distance, but I did it in a nice way. I just wanted the van with the name.
We then drove back to the church that Myke’s dad was the pastor of, parked by the beach and walked along the beach. I have to admit it was bittersweet to be there. There were some nasty things that happened in that little town to my family, but while we were there we focused on the good memories that we had there with our family. We also decided we should still come back as often as possible and make even more good memories there.
My classic “Driving back to Reality” picture I usually take when we are coming back from a little trip. This was definetly what I need. My quality time love tank is full after being with Myke. So happy!
