2.0 Version of You

I was sitting in traffic the other day and a gentleman decided it would be a good time to merge and not let me know. Luckily I saw and didn’t move too far, but he came pretty close to hitting me and I did what most drivers do: shook my head and shrugged. I could’ve honked the horn, given him the finger (which is what the majority of people decide to do), but after a few years of driving to and from Hollywood, this situation comes down to one thing: making a choice.

At church the other night, our pastor spoke many different words that I feel were for me. The one that has stuck with me the most was that God wants you to be a better version of you this year-2.0 version. That really spoke to me because I started to feel that way while we were in Sacramento. I needed to be a better version of me-I’m not a bad version, I just want to be better. Every morning we have the option to be better. We can choose to yell and honk horns or we can choose to shrug and know that you have better things to worry about.

2016 is going to be a good year.
