Women of Hope Tea

The Women of Hope Tea was August 16 and I don’t mean to brag, but it was a huge success. Our co-pastor, Melanie KILLED it with the planning, her mom spoke, and she and her daughter both sang a song. My table was pretty fool, but unfortunately, my guests were unable to make it for all sorts of reasons, all were legit. There was a small part of me that was sad and disappointed, I had worked so hard on my table and printed off prints, made my favorite dessert and only my mother-in-law was there. However that turned out to be the best part of the day. She and had finally got to have the tea party she and I had been wanting to have for a while. We sat and talked about her first tea she did and how she didn’t have anyone she knew at her table. She kept saying how proud she was of me for what I had done and what I was doing with my church. She made me feel so much better about the whole situation. At the end of the day, I was exhausted and as Myke was holding me he whispered, “I’m proud of you.” That was all I needed.

Here is a video that Myke made of that day. I cannot wait until next year.
