This weekend I had the lovely honor of going home and attending my best friends wedding shower. It was such a joy to be there and see her in person pretty much for the last time before “Wedding Week” (as it was dubbed in my house during that lovely time). I sat next to her and got to see a few people I hadn’t seen for a while.
Visited with Grandma after the shower and Mommy took me shopping for some little things for work.
That night my in laws came over to my parent’s house and they cooked the famous pork tacos for my family. They are possibly the greatest thing you have ever tasted. Plus my father-on-law makes dry salsa from scratch…what’s not to love about that. Afterwards we sat and visited and then Myke, my dad, and I watch The Dick Van Dyke Show, a staple in our home.
On Sunday I got to see many of the little children I left behind after I moved down here. I didn’t think they would remember me, but to my shock and awe (and a few tears) two of them came running up to me and hugged me and reminded me how old they were. The other one knew me but was too cool to run up to me (boys…). That is such a joy to have them remember me. My heart just smiles when I think of those kids 🙂
Here are some pictures from the adorable wedding shower 🙂

Hope everyone had a great weekend like I did 🙂
