Susty Party
Myke and I love the show Shark Tank. If you have never heard of it, the show airs on Fridays on ABC. The show includes five multi-million and billionaire investors, including Mark Cuban who owns the Dallas Mavricks. Entrupenuers come onto the show and pitch their business ideas to the “sharks” and they can invest in the business, if it is good enough. Rmember the Food Truck Festival Myke and I went to? Cousin’s Maine Lobster was one of the buisnesses that went onto the show, pitched the idea and got an investment to start another food truck. The businesses range from food, kitchen items, kids toys, and clothing. It is a really fun show to watch, you cheer for people who get a deal, you get sad for people when they don’t get a deal, and you start to like a certain shark. I like Barbara.
One night as we were watching the show, Susty Party came on the show. They had a bunch of sales, but they wanted to expand their business even more. We watched their pitch, we were impressed with their business practice and we decided to give them a try. So we made our way to our neighborhood Whole Foods and bought a box. Here are the details:
Box includes: 8 sets of plates, bowls, silverware, and cups. 50 straws. 200 napkins.
Susty Party provides sustainable (susty) dinnerware for parties. I loved the sturdiness of the plates and bowls. Most paper dinnerware to me always seems flimsey, but these are good sturdy plates and bowls. Another cool element of the Susty Party is the box itself. Along the inner walls of the box, you can cut it up and make napkin rings or name plates for the straws. Genius, right? My favorite thing about the whole package is the amount of napkins and straws we get in the box. Myke and I have been using the straws all the time and I like that I can just have some small napkins laying around the house, just in case of a small spill.
As you can see in yesterday’s post, we used these fun party items when we hosted the Roberts. We had the kids use the plates and they loved them! They used the silverware to eat and in their words, “These things are cool.” Spoken from the mouths of babes, or a 9 and 6 year old.

We are already planning on when to purchase another one 🙂
Just having the straws and napkins alone are handy.
