H54F: Two Movie Nights and Plated Delivery

1. I tried my first boxing class last week and I gotta say, my body was in pain. In a very good way. I had a nice work out and it didn’t even feel like a full hour. I did it at work with a friend, which made it a little better. I look forwarding to adding this into the work out routines during the week.

2. I did not go this Monday to boxing because there was a Rewind screening at work. Mean Girls. Rewind screenings are when work showcases a movie in our theater, we have a little reception before and we watch the movie in our big nice 500 person theater. It’s pretty sweet. They happen about every other month. Our last one was Anchorman, to celebrate Anchorman 2 coming out. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the film, that was the film chosen. Myke wasn’t able to join me, but he watched from home and I had a night with some girlfriends.

3. I am still loving my short hair. I’m having blow drying for about 10 minutes and discovering new styles. It’s fun having short hair again.

4. On, Tuesday, we had a glow movie night for the kids. It was a blast! We had a glow party and then watched Veggie Tales The Fennel Frontier (get it?). To start off the evening we played games, then we ate hot dogs, watched the hilarious movie (I love Veggie Tales-this is what happens when you grow up in church), and to top off the night we had a glow dance party. That was a blast! We got out glow sticks and danced the night away, well me, Nancy, and Brige did. We are looking forward to doing more of these outreaches for the kids this summer and beyond. Sorry about the not so great pictures, all I had was my phone.

5. Myke found that Plated was giving out 2 free meals, all you had to pay for was shipping and handling. So he did it! Plated is a business that sends ingredients, along with the recipe, to make a dinner. We actually saw this company on Shark Tank, just like we saw Susty Party. It looked interesting on the show and we thought about trying it, so this was the perfect opportunity to give it a try without breaking the bank. The box arrives insulated, so we don’t have to worry about putting things in the fridge right away. The ingredients are in marked bags which is helpful. We got really excited when we opened the box and look forward to sharing what the meals will be like.
