Items Around the Apartment Lately

Items that are in my apartment are very important to me. These are the things that mean most to me, I like looking at them and remembering how the items came into my life. Last week was a really long week for me. There were a couple nights I came home and just cried. There was a moment when I started looking around my apartment at some super random items that were sitting around our house, I realized that there are a variety of different stories that make these items ours.

I went to the store the other night and there was a check out clerk who was being rude to every single person who came in his line. He was snapping at people and just being rude. I tried to be as pleasant as possible, but he was just so rude. I wasn’t rude back, but it still was shocking to see someone treat customers that way. I came home and I was a little annoyed, just because I don’t like seeing people treated that way. I was unpacking the groceries and I saw this coffee tin. I smiled and thought about maybe this is God giving me a bone telling me that He will take care of me no matter what. He will even give me some coffee after a guy was extremely rude to me and to others, just to make me smile.

One of my blog inspirations and daily reads is Oh Joy. She is a brilliant blogger and an extremely creative woman. She has a line at Target and I have been loving getting a hold of any item I can. Her lines always seem to inspire me to decorate my home in a way that makes me feel like I am the woman of the house. Ever since I got married I have struggled with feeling good enough for my husband and making sure I’m a good wife and keeping the house tidy and put together. These help with that a tiny bit. These are the latest goodies from the collection.

A couple Saturdays ago, Hope Christian had a Kids Dream Night, a night where kids could bring all of their friends to hear about God, play some games, and dance in our neon clothes and glow lights. These are hanging in our apartment to remind us of the fun night I had dancing with the kids and Myke being DJ for a night. It was good for the kids and they had a blast.
