Hosting the Roberts and a Pinterest Success Story
When we talked about having our pastors and their family over I try to do something special for dessert. Obviously I go to Pinterest for a little inspriation. I had found this recipe a while ago called “Indoor S’mores” (originally from Dinner for Two blog). I love s’mores no matter what, so I decided to give this a try. It seemed simple enough. All you need is:
-a cast iron skillet
-a packet of chocolate
-half a pack of large marshmallows (cut them in half and put the outside facing up-see above)
-graham crackers
I was a little nervous about how it would turn out because I see all these “Pinterest Failures” and while it was baking, I was just praying it would turn out ok. I put it in the oven for about 9 minutes at 425 degrees, but as I have learned every oven is different, her receipe called for it at 450 degrees.
We ate it as soon as it got out of the oven and all burned our tounges-so please be sure to let it cool. We just couldn’t wait.
The main course consisted of Rice Balls, a Clements family tradition, green beans, and garlic bread, and chicken nuggest for the kiddos. The kids plates are from a party set from Susty Party, I will be doing a post on it later this week. We also bought their kids a few little gifts because we just love them so much. We had wonderful conversation and amazing company. They are such a blessing in our lives.
