Birchbox Brag
Myke is such a great husband. He is so understanding when I’m having a bad day and he is always loving and supportive in everything I do. He is also very understanding when it comes to my purchases. He knows that I like to buy things, so when I see something I like, I ask, he says yes (most of the time), gives me a budget, and then I go for it. This past week, I decided to cash in one of my coupons and also purchase a gift for a friend of mine. One purchase from Birchbox and the second from Sephora.
If you have been around this blog long enough, you know that I have a tiny obsession with Birchbox. I get a box of samples every month and then I can purchase the item from their website. A couple months ago, I received a nail polish exclusively from Birchbox called London Calling. The polishes were named after a city in which there is a Birchbox headquarters. Mine was a beautiful bright green. I loved the vibrate green and when I saw the other polishes I knew I had to have them! I didn’t buy them right away and I’m so glad I didn’t. My sweet friend Brigette loved the polish as well and borrowed it to wear for Easter. I decided that when I purchased my kit, I would get one for her as well. I did and she was so excited to have the other colors in the collection as well. Currently I’m wearing Reign in Spain, a bright coral and I’m in love. While I was purchasing the polishes, I decided to do something I would never do: purchase a perfume that I didn’t smell before. I usually don’t wear perfume, but since I’m trying new things, I took the plunge. So I purchased Coconut Milk Mango. I’m not the biggest fan of coconut in general, so I was taking a really big risk ordering this without smelling it. When it arrived I smelled it and went “Wow!” The smell of coconut doesn’t hit you, it’s more of a layering scent. The main smell is the mango and I love the smell of mango. Wearing it makes me feel happy and according to Rachel Silver or RJS over at Birchbox, when picking out a scent, pick something that makes you happy. She does a whole video on how to pick the right scent here.
