Got Books?
I remember being in seventh grade and walking into Mrs. Johnson’s class after lunch. My junior high had implemented a new rule, after lunch, we read for 30 minutes. Mrs. Johnson was all for it because she was a reading addict. She inspired me when I was young and I read everything. Unfortunately, when I hit college, I found it difficult to find the time to read books that were not school related, unless it was summer. With it being summer and all, I thought I would rekindle my love for reading. When you have a hectic schedule like I do, it is difficult to have time to read books as often as I would like. Whenever I sit down and actually read a book, I realize how much I miss the pure joy of reading. The way it takes you into a different world or just tells a story. Reading has always been one of my favorite things. I have deeply thought about what my life would be like if I worked from home. Part of me would like to think that I would have time and more energy to actually read. Most of the time when I want to read, I fall asleep about 2 pages into the chapter because I’m so mentally exhausted. I know I’m not the only one. The other day a friend of mine and I were talking about some of our favorite books to read or listen to on audio. We got discussing some books that we have read and some that we were hoping to read. Even after we stopped talking, I continued to think about the books that I have been wanting to read. I decided to share a few, in case any of you were in need of some last minute summer reading.
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Mrs. Johnson, if you ever read this, thank you for keeping the love of reading alive and thank you for being the voice in my head to tell me to read, even now at 25.
Come back tomorrow to see my review on a book I just finished called The Bridesmaids!
