Puddle Cake
A recipe from my mom's childhood and the 1960's!
Servings: 6 people
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 ½ Cups Flour
- 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 6 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Cup Cold water
Instructions
- Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt into ungreased pan.
- Make three puddles using oil, vinegar, and vanilla
- Pour cold water over top and stir until mixed.
- Bake at 305° F (Metal Pan) or 325° F (Glass Pan) for 25-30 min, or until done.
