H54F: Running and My Filled Heart

1. The half marathon is this Sunday in Sacramento. As I posted earlier this week, I have been filled with nerves. The closer I get, the jitters creep up on me. I just keep repeating to myself, I can do all things through Christ who strengths me.

2. I’m enjoying my new desk assignment. I’m currently in the Human Resources department as the receptionist. I’m also helping out a couple people as their assistant. I’ve been learning a lot and I actually look forward to going to work.

3. If you have not watched Gotham, it is great. It’s a show on Fox about the life of Detective Gordan, starting with the night Bruce Wayne’s parents are killed. It is a really interesting story plot and a new story that hasn’t really been told before. Myke and I have watched a couple episodes and we both enjoy it.

4. When I was young, my sister and I didn’t do too much together. There was one thing we did do: watch Gilmore Girls. Now that it is on Netflix and I have watched a few episodes, my hole in my heart is now officially full. When I watch it, I almost feel like I’m back in high school watching it in my parent’s house. If you are a young woman, please watch this show. I love it.

5.I have been working on some new prints for some time now. There is still a part of me that is nervous to actually reveal them. The typical nerves return day after day. Wondering if anyone will like them or even bother to look at them. I have to keep reminding myself that I’m not really doing this for other people, I’m doing it for me. I have always wanted to have my own little business, I have no idea why-maybe I have liked the idea of me being my own boss or having the ability to design things that people would have in their homes.

I have designed a couple more prints that are now up in the store and while they are not on the blog yet, they are up in the Store Envy store.
